All of our cats have loved catnip!
Some went crazy! We watched two of ours play for the longest time when we put some inside a couple of paper grocery bags. They darted and jumped on each other and were wild! We broke out the video camera!
Our current cat loves it, but it makes her purr soooo loud! And it makes her a real lover!
Both of my cats would need serious rehab if I let them have all they want.
My mother grows it fresh, so I give them a few sprigs a week as a treat. They go insane:D
my cat.she’ll rub herself in it.and she wants to play.but if we try to move her away from the catnip or the catnip toys.she gets aggressive and attacks.so she rarely gets any. =]
They get pretty playful with it. (for a while)
You have nearly the same situation I do.
I had a gray tiger-striped named Lexie who went insane for it. She got all possessive over anything that had catnip in it. My orange tiger-striped, Zooey, didn’t really care one way or another.
…I guess it all depends on the cat?
I’ve had cats who ranged from going completely insane to not really reacting to it. Some of my cats have looked totally stoned (big, dilated pupils staring off into space) after sniffing it and rolling in it, some have just gone wild and will attack anything within reach, some will lie in it for a while, a couple didn’t react to it much unless it was really fresh and 1 cat would lie in it and drool.
I’ve read that some cats don’t respond to it at all.
My cat could care less about cat nip, cat nip toys. We’ve tried to get him to play with anything but nope… Doesn’t care for it
