How do I train my cat to use the litter box?

My cat used to use the litter box with np,but lately I have been taking him outside and when hes outside he goes to the bathroom,I’m trying to break him from that doing that and get him to start using the litter box again,but I’m having probs,its clean litter and litter box itself is always clean,not sure why he dosnt wanna use it,any suggestions?

Put the cat in a room make sure that you have the litter box in there. Leave the cat in there until he or she uses the litter box again. Don’t forget to put food in water in a corner

But i dont see what the problem is with him going to the bathroom outside. unless he doesnt always go outside and pisses in the house. But there, with with males, is a problem because they go inside the house. They are like dogs and sprays their teritory.
well for some reason my cat automatically used it, its their instincts since they like to dig up their litter. that was the only sand it the room. if not about everytime you see it looking for a spot immediatly take it to the litter box, it might stupid doing that with a cat, but thats how i newspaper train my dogs.
Don’t allow your cat to go out side and put the litter box where he/she can get to it.Let he/she smell the litter so that it is familiar with it and you should not have any problems.Once the cat starts using litter gradually aloow the cat to go outside.
