how do i stop my cat from urinating all over my house?2?

He has been to the vet….CLEAN
He now has 2 litter boxes. both open since the closed one wasnt enough.
i’ve tried every litter type imaginable…the crystal kind is his favorite since he poops in that one!
he has many cat towers from small to big, atleast 1 in every room. in which i rotate to try to see where he would actually use them.
he wont eat any cat treats i’ve tried hundreds.
he doesnt blink an eye at catnip,
the dog is not constantly at him, but sometimes wants to play and the cat wont have it. i do stop him when i am home.
but yet i love him so, and i want to figure this out.
what am i doing wrong here?

The problem is that now he has "marked" everywhere. This will encourage him to con’t to urinate in those places again. So, unless you change your carpet/flooring and padding and possibly any stained subfloor beneath he will likely con’t to this b/c his scent is there tempting him. Also, when cleaning you after him be sure to use an enzyme treatment to destroy the odor. You can find enzyme sprays at a pet store.
you need to teach him.
make him stay outside for a bit.

He’s probably marking his territory. Try using original Pine-Sol on the spots he likes to go. Cats hate that stuff, and it won’t hurt him.
train the cat to urinate in one place, i wuld prefer out side, or buy a litter box and keep it in the bathroom and wait for the cat to mark its spot, i dont no how many times u needa change it tho, but this mite help

has he been neutered ??? that will stop some of it..also using something to clean where he’s peed, to make it LESS attractive to his nose. there probably is something wrong take it to the vet. my uncles cat did the same thing and it had cancer and tumors in its bladder. not trying to scare you. dont mean its whats wrong with yours. but still should get seen.
Don’t worry about the treats, those are mostly empty calories and aren’t that healthful.
The vet said there was no urinary infection going on? You have to ask that specifically. Some just do a visual check as an exam. They don’t take a urine sample to look under the microscope. Did they check him for diabetic tendencies too?
Have you observed him peeing? Is he straining? Pain on urination makes them want to try other places since they associate the box with causing the pain.
Did anyone think it was ‘funny’ to scare him out of his box when he was trying to pee? Is the box in a low traffic area? Sometimes moving it to a quiet area is all that’s needed.

nothing. cats are into themselves like my cats. my late cat, Cody, was always sitting around and not into cat nip or running around. has your cat been neutered??? if not, that’s why or he has a UTI. idk good luck. it’s not your fault though. just keep doing what you’re doing. good luck again!
cats mark territory with urine. Get that clear in your head if you are a cat owner.
Be prepared to smell your house, furniture and possessions like cat pee.
Cat pee is ammoniacal and has a piercing unmistakable stink, but YOU KNEW THAT or ought to have known that already.
Just lower your olfactory standards.

Well, from animal things I’ve seen, a started is to clean any areas the cat has defecated because marking habits lead animals to want to mark where their scent already exists.
Beyond that, a single littler box in a consistent and closed feeling location is ideal, to let routine build, and if it is located in an isolated room even better. If the cat has urinated on something like a clothing object, perhaps something you could call a "favorite spot" you could then take and move into the enclosed litter box, to add a comfort factor to help the cat along.
At the same time, the separate room idea would be great as a place the cat could have as its normal location to eat sleep as well as defecate, of course meaning a separate bed from the litter box. This way, when you feed the cat you can close the door on it, and let it eat, and than give it half an hour to an hour by itself in which to begin digestion and maybe get the need to use the box.
Of course once the cat has gotten used to using it you can stop locking it away when its chow or poop time, but until than it would be best to make a schedule where it routinely eats and gets put away just for the reason of using the litter box, so that the number of options for where to defecate are, at the very least, minimized.
well…two possible reasons, if you have had your place for only a little while, it is possible that previous owners/tennants had a pet who marked territory. If the carpet/wood floor hasn’t been replaced he could be picking up on that. To really clean the spots on carpet. Use a very hot steam cleaner. After one area is clean, soak the spot in undiluted white vinegar. Let it try completely, then shampoo again. Once it is completely dry, if you can get to the pad underneath sprinkle a little vinegar on it. Cats don’t care for that smell too much. as for litter, have you just tried dirt? Some cats really like the texture of it.

Your cat has serious psychological problems, he has some kind of mental disorder or is suffering from a chemical in balance or he can be even be in a state of depression. There are vets out there that will look at your cats problem on a psychologically level, not just on a physical level and can prescribe medication. There is nothing that you are doing wrong for it is natural, normal and instinctual for a cat to go to the litter box, there is definetly something wrong with your cat.
has he been desexed? he’s marking his territory desexing may help. is it possible to put him outside for a while or is he an indoor cat?
make sure litter boxes are clean.
When did you get your cat? If it was pass age 8 weeks, he may need to be taught how to use the litter box.. When you’re away, place your cat and a litter box in a room (bathroom, since it’s easier to clean if he goes outside the box) and when you come home see if he’s used it. If he has, good, if not watch him closely! When he goes to go outside the box, startle him, and place him in the litter box. Startling a cat lets them know that the action being performed isn’t acceptable, and they eventually stop it. Don’t keep changing litters, b/c a cat may be used to one, and you think they aren’t. He may also be marking his territory, especially with another animal in the house. Neutering helps with that… If nothing else, since the vet gave him a clean bill of health, I can only suggest to turn your inside cat to an indoor/outdoor cat. But make sure he’s fixed first so there aren’t unnecessary kittens out there! Hope this helps.
you said "he" so since hes male, he will do that. the only thing you can do is neuter him. if you dont have money, many animal shelters offer days where you can come and get it done by a vet for free. neutering is also very beneficial for you cats health, as well as your convenience/hygiene.
my cat was doing this i got him neutered and he eventually stopped thank god…but how long has he been doing this? if it’s been a LONG time it can be a behavioral problem, when you went to the vet did they check for a UTI? that could also be the problem…has he been doing this since you’ve had him? if it just started out of NOWHERE then there might be something seriously wrong with him, thats usually a sign…one of my cats has kidney failure and is starting to do this…..but i’d go over all the spots with vinegar&warm water multiple times so he won’t smell those spots….good luck
Every time you see him doing it. Spray him with water! Its the only way they learn! Try and spray it because they do need to learn if you don’t want your house to smell bad!

Neuter him if he has not been fixed. Also some cats don’t like a litter box that’s like a dome or house. An open litter pan may be the solution. You can try somehow getting the urine smell into his litter box and let him know where he should go potty.
