How do i stop my cat from scratching?
She scratches so badly that she has broken almost all of her whiskers off, and she has several open sores. She probably has allergies, to what i’m not sure. I’ve already switched to a hypoallergenic cat food.
I have taken her to the vet, her answer was allergies. i give her a bath about once a week, the next day shes back to scratching. she drinks out of a stainless steel bowl and ive checked her for fleas.

Use only glass bowls for her food, using a good food that’s non allergenic is good, be sure to treat for fleas, alot of cats are allergic to them.
If you don’t take her to the vet, they have a great chance of becoming infected. She needs cream.
-Take her to the vets
-Try flea medicine
-Give her a bath! (She might have dry skin) and cats rarely get baths.
-Also remember to give her water
I know this might sound crazy but she might be allergic to fleas. Poor little thing she must be miserable, I would take her to the vet.
First, take her to the vet to find out why she is scratching. I have two cats that do this because they are allergic to fleas. And fleas love cats, even with a flea collar. One flea and they can dig themselves raw, and there is never just one. Frontline works. Also, if she is mostly scratching around her ears it could be mites or an ear infection. You need a vet to determine the cause and give you the solution as this is a medical problem. The open sores can get infected and are dangerous for her so you need to take her to the vet. The solution is usually fairly simple, but it takes a vet to determine the cause.
Give him some lotion. If that does not work try a scratching post.
Couldnt you try taking her back to the vets and explain that you came before and was told it was allergies but she continues to scratch?
You could also try giving her a bath a little more often.
Also does she have fleas? Might be allergic to them?
bath
vet
just spray her with water when she scratches and say no
