I bought a new cat tree,(at a cat show) and of course asked about the sisal. I was assured it was not treated with oil, but now that I have it in the house, it has a horrid smell - not the carpetted area, just the area with the sisal. I was able to locate the vendor’s phone number on the internet, and he suggested spraying it with Febreeze or a citrusy odor remover. Any suggestions?
