How do I get my mom to let me have a a pet cat?

I love animals and a dog is good, but my dad doesn’t want any because we have no time and he said a cat is what we need, but my mom says no. How do I convince her to get a cat? She let us get a kitten and now she said no. I really want a pet and since no dogs 
a cat is the only one. I want a cat badly. How?

i agree with camcam. what’s the class that you are doing the worst in? i’d try to make a pact with your mom in order to work for the animal.
say i’ll raise my grade to an ‘a’ next quarter…. if i do, i get a cat.
say you’ll keep your room clean or do the dishes for three months and then after you show how responsible you are, hopefully she’ll live up to her end of the deal and let you have the cat
the trick is to show her that you are responsible and will be able to take care of the kitty.
DON’T DO IT…….PETS R ALODDA WORK.
What happened to the kitten that you had? If she let you have one but then changed her mind, whats to say she wont do that again…Thats not fair to the animal.
First check your grades that always the one reason why they say no so much
First show here a few pictures of cute kittens on the internet. If she says no then if u go to school try to get some good grades and tell her like "I got an A on my math test." Then she might think your more responsible to handle a pet and she might let you get an pet.
