How do i convince my mom to let my cat be an indoor cat!!!!!!!!!?????
Since the last cat i had passed away because of 2 dogs! they had bit him and shook him violently. half of the last cats ran away! and the other half got ran over!! i just want this cat to be an indoor cat so if can be safe and have a longer life and not shed as might and get a bunch of fees!
well she doesnt like it inside because when it uses the restroom it smells horrible! i also tell her to buy cat food so it doesnt affect the pppoop. but she says that she isnt gonna waste her momey on the cat food! and i cant afford that and plus she doesnt give me an allowence! she says dont i give you a place to live in clean your house give you food and buy you clothes! i hate when she replies me with that sentance!
hey! im a kid and my parents cant afford to build or make anything rite now

How about negating all that by teaching your cat to be saafe outdoors, as thousands of us do.
All my cats have been indoor/outdoor, and totally safe, very healthy and lead very long and happy lives. And I live between a freeway and a busy road, my cats don’t go near it.
Outdoor cats live only three years? SOmeone should have told my cats to drop dead years ago, they’re still in perfect health, all of them lived over 15 years. They’re all getting mixed up with FERAL cats.
Don’t you treat your cat for fleas?
Indoor or out makes no difference to shedding.
Alternatively set up a fencing system so kitty can’t get out of your yard.
Hello,
just show your mom how good it is to have an indoor cat try showing her how cute the cat is and say that you will take care of the cat because they say that the indoor cats live to longest so try to convince ur mom that having a cat isn’t so bad that how kept my cat good luck to u and ur cat =)
Obviously your mom doesn’t seem to care much for cats. It isn’t safe for them to be outdoors, unless you supervise them. I would definetely point out that your last cats were killed or ran away. If she doesn’t allow this…because I know not all parents listen to their kids…lol, at least get him a name tag and collar. That way if he disappears, maybe at least someone would return him. But I would try my hardest to convince her to let you keep him in.
Is the reason she lets them out because they are not spayed or neutered and they spray or howl? If that is the case she needs to be responsible and get them spayed and or neutered because the howling (females) and spraying (males) starts around 6 months.
Best of luck to you
just show her that the cat is a good cat.
It sounds like you know the facts. I don’t know if there’s any other way to convince her.
You might enlist some adult help. Any of your relatives have indoor cats? They can resolve some of the questions your mom might be having, such as shedding, spraying, noise, etc. If you both take the cat to the vet and go into the examination room, you can ask the vet about it and will probably get some help. Vets know the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 3 years and the average lifespan of an indoor cat is over 15 years.
