How do I build awsome cat furniture?
I just got a kitten and I want to make her some cat furniture. I want something she can hide in, climb on, and sleep on. A few feet high. I want to make it myself because buying a cool one is super expensive! Help me!

i think if you brainstorm you can figure it out without paying 10 bucks.
I don’t know much about furniture for cats, but I can tell you this, you can make a scratching post by taking a square block of wood, a bout 2 or 3 feet high, wrap it in carpet, and glue or nail it to a flat piece of wood to make it stand. You will be thankful for it when your furniture is in one piece.
With a few pieces of timber which may be laying around (or permanentaly borrowed from unsuspecting neighbours) some carpet (you can even get it to funk up or match the decor of your room) and a little imagination, you can create your own unique design.
Have a look at this example..

it may give you some pretty neat ideas.
This what I did, I went to home depot and bought the tube they use for concrete pillars(cost about $3.00 apiece) they come in different diameters, and different lengths. you should be able to get small pieces of plywood for flat places for them to lay on. then go to the carpet store and get some remnants of short nap carpet and glue to glue it on with, they should have it there or at home depot. then go to the pet store, and look at theirs to get an idea of how you want to put it together. you might need some small bolts&nut for fasteners, don’t forget washers. The tubes cut real easy with a hand saw. Good luck& I hope they enjoy it.
Try the three story plywood box. If you know anyone with woodworking skills (aka won’t slice their fingers off) or have some yourself, It’s three 16 inch cubes with varying entrances. some are squares… some are round, try a triangle! They like variety, they’re Cats!
ive got a cat at home and we got a cat scratching post with a hole in a box for sleeping and two levels to climb on!
