How can I get my cat to stop licking my arms?

My arms get really dry and i have to put lotion on them but while i sleep my cat licks the lotion off. So I wake up with raw sore arms. Also i’m worried about my cat injesting all of that. Getting rid of the cat or locking her up at night wont be possible and is out of the question. How can i make her stop?

Not sure if this is the most convenient method, but use pepper. Cayenne pepper will make the cat’s eyes water when she gets up close and not want to lick your arms. Just sprinkle some on your arms after you put the lotion on. It shouldn’t take much. If you apply lotion at night and shower in the morning it should work. Of course if your cat normally sleeps with you, she might not do that anymore either! Maybe test it out on a small area just to make sure. If you don’t want to try that you may need to start wearing long sleeves after applying the lotion, or find out what ingredient in your lotion has your cat going crazy and switch to a lotion that doesn’t have that.

Umm… Well you could figure out what your cat doesn’t like then smear it on your arms! Simple.lol
change lotions,or wear long sleeves…THAT’S FUNNY!

Change the type of lotion you use. My cat loves Burt’s Bees Carrot something lotion. The vet said it probably wasn’t a big worry since it’s such a small amount and all natural but I still switched because it was just too annoying.
I have problems with dry skin too. What I found to work best for me is a sugar scrub with olive oil and brown/white sugar. I found a recipe online. I use it in the shower and my skin looks and feels better for at least a couple of days. My cat doesn’t lick very much at all.
