How can I get a stray cat out of house?
I have a little crawl space vent opening for my cats to get out of the house. Unfortunately I think a stray cat has gotten in. The crawl space, garage, house and attic are all connected by cat hole doors so my cats have a lot of patrol freedom for catching mice and rats. How can I get the stray cat out? Smoke?

No, you shouldn’t use smoke to get the cat out. You could potentially harm it since cats have very fragile lungs, and regardless this is cruel. Since the cat is a stray, you should call your local ASPCA (http://www.aspca.org/) just to be safe. You wouldn’t want the cat to bite you, which it just might if it is scared of people. You also want to keep your own cats safe and I’m assuming that if they are going outdoors that they are all up-to-date on their vaccines. Good luck.
You may also consider controlled entry doors in the future, but this would require your cats to wear special collars which act as keys for the doors. I don’t know how you feel about this. I know my cats would hate such a collar.
I would say the only acceptable way is to call animal control. Make sure yours are up to date with shots and tags first.
It would be for you to remove the little vents. I suggest you just block it, the stray cat may be just curious about you and the house.
maybe you could try to bribe it out with milk or food.
