Why is it that whenever cats/dogs see people eating they just sit in front of them and stare at them? I know they’re expecting to be fed, but I don’t understand how they are able to tell that people are eating.

I know it seems a stupid question, but I’m expecting serious answers. I mean to what extent do animals understand human behaviour?
Yeah, Suzy, its obvious for US, but how do THEY know? How do they understand? Thats what Im asking.

So I just moved into a new apartment, and our cat climbed up under the radiator and got stuck inside. We had to call the superintendent to get him out. We’ve blocked off the opening with boxes and such so he can’t get in, but once the heat comes on this isn’t going to work.

The opening is quite sizeable and is at the bottom of the rad. He’s able to shimmy his way all the way inside and gets tangled in wires.

Does anyone know of an attachment of some sort that I can install on the radiator to prevent him from climbing up? A mesh of some kind maybe?

I try to go longer and I do use tidy cat litter, am I waiting too long to change? Apprx how many inches deep should my bx be for two cats?

i just moved into a new house and the owner doesnt allow cats! my kitty has been an indoor cat for about a year now. he is fully grown and still has his claws.
the stuff about outdoor cats having a shorter life span is not always true too…i have another outdoor cat who has been outdoors her whole life and she is seventeen years old!!! i got her when i was three! so dont guilt trip me. thanks =]

My siamese cat’s name is Cinnamon, cause siamese’s have cinnamon colors,but i think he could have a better name.
My tabby cat is the gray kind of tabby cat,and he has orange eyes.
They are inside and outside cats, but LOVE the outside!

My cat is an indoor only cat. She licks and chews at 2 areas on her side and an area on her back. They end up raw. She also scratches at her neck, but not as bad.
Does anyone have any idea at why she would itch so much she would lick and chew herself raw?

OK, here’s the situation folks. You are speeding down a narrow tunnel at night with your lights on. You see a dog on the right and a cat on the left. You don’t have time to stop. If you don’t swerve you will hit both of them. If you swerve to the right you will hit the dog, but save the cat. If you swerve to the left you will hit the cat, but save the dog. So my question is, who do you save?
