After a while,the two will introduce themselves and then can be together. It can take a day or more so keep the caged one in the bathroom when you are not there. That one can be then let out and have a litter pan, water and food there. Once they are comfortable together, open the cage and walk away. The two will be able to expend their energy and solve your problem, but do take the time to give them attention.
