I even bought a new carrier that was more like a bag because I had so much trouble getting my one cat in the hard carrier and he LOVES getting into bags. He had no interest in the carrier bag and still refuses to get in without (gentle) force. My cats definitely know what the suitcase means. They start getting clingier as soon as I start packing and they always try to either pack themselves or stay in my way so I can't pack. Every cat I’ve had have seemed to know both.

I have my carrier by the window in my bedroom with the door open. They love to curl up in it and sleep, but as soon as I put it on the bed, you can't find find the one who's going to the vet.
