Do automatic cat litter boxes significantly reduce smell?
My cat’s litter smells really bad no matter how often we change it, do automatic litter boxes take the smell away or atleast significantly reduce it?

You maybe need a new litter box, after a while they absorb the smell of the dirty litter and it just doesn’t go away. Invest in another litter box and keep it filled with fresh litter and the smell should go away.
Don’t know, never thought the expense was worth trying one.
i dont no about the automatic trays, but i buy this stuff from the supermarket, its called bob martin litter freshner, after you pick out the poo just sprinkle a little over the area and it gets rid of the smell straight away
First you should probably ask yourself why the litter box is smelling badly even though you change it frequently. It could be the brand of litter you’re using. I have found that Fresh Step is the best…and we have 7 cats that all use the same big litter box and our house never stinks.
Second, if the cats crap is smelling really bad maybe you should look into modifying their diet. Getting healthy food such as EVO and canned foods that don’t contain byproducts and other unhealthy ingredients.
I noticed that when we switched our cat’s diet to healthy food that their craps barely smell bad even when they take fresh craps.
Healthy cat food is a little bit more expensive however I think it would be worth it for you to look into as opposed to a machine litter box that makes claims it won’t necessarily be able to keep.
On the same token you can go to Petco and buy a auto-litter box and try it…if it doesn’t work then return it.
But you should also seriously look into healthier foods
