Could my cat get sick from licking a plastic bag that was in a room that was trated with bug killer?
I treated my upstairs bedrooms with Raid- House and garden spray since we have been over run with Spiders as of late. I did everything right. I closed off both rooms, baracaded my 4 cats in the downstairs living room, sprayed the room entirely, opened windows, put fans on, and let it sit for about an hour and a half. The bottle advised me to let it sit for 15 min, but with my animals, i decided to let it go a lot longer to ensure proper drying and ventilating. Well, everything was ok. I the animal poison control line and talked to a lady to make sure it wouldnt harm my cats and she said as long as it was dry things would be ok. My fear right now is, Dahlia- our 4 year old (special) cat LOVES to lick plastic bags at night. I think its comforting to her.I was sleeping last night and woke to her licking a bag that I realized later on was in the room when I sprayed the room. Im fearing that she may have ingested it, if it hit the bag. She doesnt seem sick, but should I be worried?
She is eatting normally, and drinking normally. I dont see any changes in her behavior. She is kind of a loner, so her crawling in weird areas to nap isnt unlike her. Im just worried, shes my baby.

Keep an eye on her. If she begins drooling, licking her lips, seeming unsteady on her feet, blinking a lot, sleeping more than normal, not eating, if her eyes seem dilated or pin-point, or if she starts vomiting, take her to the vet right away.
Symptoms may not appear for days.
if it is toxic but none tixki she good
she could get sick check you your local vet it could just save her life
Make sure she doesn’t act sick for a few more days, but if she starts to act weird, or if she licks herself more than usual, you need to make her to the vet or even a poison control center.
She probably might feel a little sick, but you should give her a bowl of milk to coat her stomach it would make her feel a lot better, I know from experince!
Well, you may need to ask a vet. Cause you never know, she ccan be sick, even if it doesnt look like she is. I hope I helped.
You shouldn’t worry, you should however be concerned. Just pay attention to her. If she continues to act normal, don’t worry. If she displays any unusual behavior take her to the vet.
You could also call our vet and consult with him/her on the phone.
I would take her to the vets to make sure. If any of the insectide got into the bag it very well could make her ill at some point because even though everything else in the room may have been totally dry the inside of the bag may not have been. its better to be safe than sorry.
I hope your special cat is ok!!!!
My first reaction would be… YES! YES! TAKE HER TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!… but on the other hand if your cat isn’t acting strange or anything then it should be fine. But just in case I’d DEFFINETLY call the vet just to make sure, and they’ll probably advise you to come visit them just to make sure everything is as it should be. I know what it’s like to have a special cat because i just recently lost the best cat i’ve ever had in my entire life and the favorite for the rest of my family as well( she was 4 years old too.) Just to make sure i would take her to the vet but call them first and see what they say! I wish you the best of luck!
