Cats are lovely, yet odd, little creatures. Maybe put it away for awhile and bring it out again in a few weeks, so that it's "new" again? My cats didn't like their scratching post when I first bought it for them. I tried catnip, treats, even pretending to scratch on it to show them how to do it. Eventually I gave up and put it away. For whatever reason, I brought it out again and one day they just started using it. Now, they love it and it's usually the center of their playtime :) To put it simply…Because he’s a cat! They seem to like simple things around the house, just don't spend too much money on lavish toys. I have a crinkle tunnel and a crinkle bag. Neither of them bother with the tunnel or bag, but if I put a plastic bag down there on or in it in seconds. Not sure why? I think it may be because they crinkle is there all the time to play with and the bags are not. I don't leave plastic bags around because my cat has actually gotten caught in them before, so when they do see a bag maybe it's like "Oh something new!". Cats are very curious.
