Catnip heaven, Does your cat go nuts with cat nip?

This morning I got the cat nip out for my cats tower.
I forgot the bag and left it on the floor.
I came back in to see my cat had tore it open and shreded the bag.
He is running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
He is up the pole that goes to our ceiling and rolling down it. I am not sure how he is not falling to the floor. And i cant find my camera. Ugggg!
And then he just ran to my bedroom looked at me and ran in a circle back to the living room. He found his toy mouse and is growling at it. He is a nut.
What do your cats do when they have cat nip?

We have a cat nip plant growing in the garden and my cat lays in the middle of it and eats it! Cats rule!!
Mine go nuts too. I think they all do. My male once figured out that if he got into the lower cupboard he could push the drawer open from the back then he left the cupboard and snagged the whole catnip bag out of the drawer. Took me 3 tries but I finally caught him in the act and I wouldnt have beleived it if hadnt seen him do it. I now only buy Cosmic Kitty brand. For one, they package it in a plastic tub that he cant chew the cover off of (he tried that once too lol) and it also seems to be the most potent. He wont touch Hartz catnip (probably because its only mint and not catnip). I once made the mistake of buying fresh dried catnip bundles still on the stems. He literally scaled the fridge ( I kept it on top of it cuz he NORMALLY doesnt climb anything hes too bottom heavy) and stole the bundles while I wasnt home. I came home to one stoned kitty and a HUGE mess. Leaves, stems, etc. EVERYWHERE! but he was one happy boy for a few days lol When hes one the nip its the ONLY time he flat out runs anymore (hes 10 now) My oldest female spends her nip time rolling on the floor being a floor mop and the youngest completely spazzes out. When shes on the nip I have to give her lots of room and let the other 2 hide cuz she literally flies around the room barely touching down before she launches herself again. Big fun to watch! lol
Pretty much the same thing! I only give it in small doses, so I dunno what they would do if they got ahold of the whole bag. But, my one cat rolls around on the floor and does flips. The other will go into pounce mode and then pounce at nothing. lol, silly kittys.

With my cat, I hide the cat nip. It is so funny to see her trying to find it. She goes nuts! I dropped a few pieces on the couch and she was rubbing the couch for like an hour. The she stuffed her head under the pillow and all you could see was her butt moving around. My cat goes craxy even without cat nip. She has a sqeaky mouse that she loves! I just throw it down stairs and (we have wood floors) you can hear her sliding across the floor and then you hear nothing for a second and then you hear a sqeak.
Mine will kill a bag just to get into the cat nip… they love it!
Lol my cat basically does the same thing. It’s hilarious. We got some free from the vets a while back and I hadn’t used it before, so accidently I just left it on the floor in a plastic bag. Lo and behold a few minutes later I discovered it torn to pieces (and my cat hardly ever tears stuff) with my cat running around the house like a nutter. Bless him but it is just so funny and I couldn’t find the camera either!! Ahh annoying x x
roflmao, yup thats what all cats that ive seen on a major catnip high do. But vacume up the left overs and get it away from him, to much is well just to much. Usually the pet shops say no more then a teaspoon and only once in a great while is good. Its their drug so..lol you get the idea. I gotta kitten right now who doesnt need it but we have it for her older"brother" whos a stick in the mud and its quite comical for sure. Once you find that camera send me a pic I need a laugh..lol hago
My cats also go insane when they have catnip. They roll all over the catnip and then take off like a bat outta hell. Then stop, sit and lick their fur like nothing is wrong, only to do it all over again!
