So my husband and I got separated and so the cats (2 of em’)had to stay with my brother for about two months in CA while I got a job and set up in a new house in NV. So they have been ‘out of their element’ for a while now and they have probably felt a huge stress with this separation. They are coming back here to live with me for good now and I want to do something special for them when they get back. I was thinking about buying maybe a window perch or maybe a water fountain thing for them…does anyone have any other suggestions?
These cats are like my children and I love them to death!

very little military . I´ve had him for 3 years already he was given to me by some one else who loved him she used to hug him, kiss him, pet him, talk sweet to him, but never feed him or gave him watwr.The owner knows we have a dog and 4 cockatiels and 2 cats they are all well feed and well taken care of, so the owner gave us the bird, knowing she couldn´t care for him properly.Here is the PROBLEM the first two years he was ok with us my dad even made him a perch that wouldn´t be above our head, but I will admit we dont like to hold the animals a lot just ocasionally. About a year ago the owner came to visit the bird was happy I gess he would make the pupils of his eyes really small, the old owner was kissing him and all and out of the blue he bit me. Ever since he´s been agressive, we cant even get him out of the cage because he´ll try to atack us he´s also very jelous of the other pets.What can i do to have the old sweet loving bird I used to have

The towers were 1350 and 1360 feet tall. So let’s start by using our trusty free-fall equation to see how long it should take an object to free-fall from the towers’ former height.

Distance = 1/2 x Gravity x Time(squared)

or

Time(squared) = (2 x Distance) / Gravity

Time(squared) = 2710 / 32 = 84.7

Time = 9.2

So our equation tells us that it will take 9.2 seconds to free-fall to the ground from the towers’ former height.

Using our simpler equation, V = GT, we can see that at 9.2 seconds, in order to reach the ground in 9.2 seconds, the free-falling object’s velocity must be about 295 ft/sec, which is just over 200 mph.

But that can only occur in a vacuum.

Since the WTC was at sea level, in Earth’s atmosphere, you might be able to imagine how much air resistance that represents. (Think about putting your arm out the window of a car moving half that fast!) Most free-falling objects would reach their terminal velocity long before they reached 200 mph. For example, the commonly-accepted terminal velocity of a free-falling human is around 120 mph. The terminal velocity of a free-falling cat is around 60 mph. (source)

Therefore, air resistance alone will make it take longer than 10 seconds for gravity to pull an object to the ground from the towers’ former height.

On page 305 of the 9/11 Commission Report, we are told, in the government’s "complete and final report" of 9/11, that the South Tower collapsed in 10 seconds. Here is the exact quote: "At 9:58:59, the South Tower collapsed in ten seconds". (That’s the government’s official number. Videos confirm that it fell unnaturally, if not precisely that, fast. But as we’ve just determined, that’s free-fall time. That’s close to the free-fall time in a vacuum, and an exceptionally rapid free-fall time through air.
Reaching?? 10 seconds is the official number.

I didn’t think any one could explain this. Any one with a brain can see this IS evidence the official story isn’t true.
The size of the break?? Ok this is conservative the building (top half) would have never had time to reach terminal velocity before impacting the floors below. Secondly thats assuming the the entire support structure was comprimised enough for the entire floor(s) to fall at once with no resistance. To respond to another answer the towers had a complete power down the weekend before 911 to "up grade internet cables" and no dust obscured the view of the first 100 meters of the collapse which any one with a video editer and a stop watch can measure the speed of collapse. There are photos of debri (big as a truck) not falling as fast as the demololition wave. Another question is how did that debri get so far away from the building?
Marbledog- You need to refresh on your 5th grade science. Mass has nothing to do with how fast somthing falls (in a vacume) . The floors of the WTC was about an acre and HOLLOW. It was after all designed to function as a building and have offices and rooms ect it was not solid. If you dropped a tightly wound bundle of popcicle sticks and a building made out of the same popcicle sticks which would fall faster?

Tweeting In the Corner….

Tweet, little bird cried, tweet, tweet.
Begging for some food to eat
With his neck stretched high
And his mouth opened with a cry

His mother was somewhere round the block
Flying in the air searching for a seed stalk
The regular supply diminished and empty
So onwards she flies for food she needs badly

Bouncing through the streets a stray cat does run
On the look for a supplement of nutrition
A flying bird not far off the stray cat sees
Slyly the bird hunts, and slowly scurries

Towards the perched bird high in a tree
Our cat runs, attacks quickly
He pounces and the bird is gone
With prey in mouth the cat runs home

To a small moldy box in the corner
Where a small kittens meow is a murmer
There the cat takes her catch
The small kitten eats this snatch…

Through all this dismal story
High on branch, in a small tree
A small bird does sit waiting to eat

We have five cats and will be PCSing from GA to AK in about 18 months. I am a planner I have always been a planner. I am most worried about my cats. We have five. I can not find what I consider a suitable carrier for the cats to each have one. What I mean is one that is basically enclosed, like some larger kennels and has a shelf that they can perch on or hide under a blanket if they wish. I have already planned to put puppy pee pads and a gerbil water thing for them but I really want them to have a comfort like a perch and possibly a scratching pad. All the products I can find off of google are geared towards dogs.
Guess what I am asking is for a site or somewhere I can get something that is not made for a dog.
Delta lets you have as many animals as you want in the pressurized cargo hold and I saw some comfort controlled ones with heat settings but I am scared of fires
