Cat tree: what the hell is this thing?
OK so I’m trying to fix an old cat tree I got from my friend. It’s one of those you get from Walmart that’s made of cardboard and carpet with 4 posts and 4 perches. The posts connect by screwing into each other with a perch in the middle. Well, one of the plastic cap/plug whatever it is you use to screw and connect the post together broke and I can’t figure out what it is the get it replace. I’ve even taken it to the hardware companies to let em look at it. If you’ve never seen one of these posts they look like a shipping tube for posters, with the caps on the end, except these caps are stronger and have a knut in em to hold the screw and connect the posts. Does anyone have an idea of what I’m talking about and know what this plastic parts called and where to get it?

If I were you, I’d call the manufacturer of the cat tree. The item you’re talking about might not be sold in stores, but the manufacturer has to have a bunch of them in order to ship them with the cat trees. If you don’t know who the manufacturer is, you can go to Walmart and ask. Somebody there knows where those items are ordered from and will be willing to give you the address and/or phone number of the manufacturer.
Can you replace it with a nut and bolt?
