Cat litter?

What brand of litter would you recommend for a household with two cats? Which one do you absolutely not recommend?

I have three cats and I wouldn’t use anything other than the unscented clumping litter. It is cleaner, less waste, less dust, better buy for your buck in the long run because you only throw out the soiled clumps and doesn’t smell like the others. Make sure you get unscented because some cats don’t like scented litter. Also, if your cats are kittens, you need to wait until they are at least 10 months old before you use clumping litter. Little kittens can injest it and it will remain in their stomachs and cause serious problems.

Don’t use store brand, I hate store brand! You generally get what you pay for, if you get my drift. I have two kitties, and I use Purina Maxx Multi-Cat, and am very pleased. The smell is pleasant, and there is no "odor" hanging over the litter boxes. Arm and Hammer is ok, but I like Purina.
arm and hammer for multiple cats it clumps hard and controls odor well, do not use any store brands they are horrible

Tidy cat litter crumble free for mutiple cats. I only have one cat and it works very good for one cat.(Scoopable)
One not to use is Johnny cat litter.
use tidy cat for multiple cats very good brand!! don’t use a cheap or store brand, it just doesn’t do the job, tidy cat is great for Oder’s!!
I have two cats too. The one i RECOMMEND is a multi-cat formula. I do NOT recommend Fresh Step that stuff is terrible!! It makes tons of tiny clumps instead of a few large ones (plus its smell is really bad and really strong)
outdoor cat box is best ……….why would you want a cat in the house anyhow ???
I like arm and hammer and scoop away for scoopable or clumping. I like fresh step for non clumping. Whatever I use I add plain baking soda to it woks wonders on odor. Your Kitty will pick his or her favorite.
store brands definitely s**k. we use tidy cats clumping. it’s fine. my sister LOVES the crystals- just pure, clear crystals. i can’t remember what they’re made of, but they absorb ALL moisture and MUMMIFY solid waste. that stuff is good, but pretty expensive. (is it silicon dioxide?)
Purina or Arm and Hammer are the best. Store brands are bad.
I like Tidy Cat for Multiple Cat Households for keeping the smell down. I put a small amount in and dump it each time I change it.
But I also like the clumping kinds that are easy to scoop. If you scoop daily, get a clumping kind.
The coolest thing to do is toilet train your cat- there are websites online that describe how.
Cedariffic all natural cedar cat litter. 33 lbs=9.99 and it lasts twice as long as poisonous clay that is mercilessly strip mined from the earth and has chems that are poison.

Cats tend to prefer granular litters with no added scent. There is a brand called ‘Cat Attract’ which has herbs designed to appeal to cats, but it’s very expensive and I don’t know if it really works any better.
No Fresh Step or anything that has a strong perfume smell. First the cats don’t like it and I think it’s bad for them.
I have tried many. I like Tidy Cats for multiple cats and Arm and Hammer.
Arm and Hammer Multi Cat is WONDERFUL!!!!! If you don’t want to spend that much you can use the Tidy Cat Multi Cat but, you should completely change it. The arm and hammer you can scoop daily and get some life out of the litter by adding more after you scoop until it’s just time to freshen the entire litter. Some cats like the pellets and the crystals, but I would not suggest going straight that. My cat haded the pine pellets and the crystals when they came out but he adored Arstocats "sawdust" mixed in with his Arm and Hammer and it kept the smell to a minimum.
Arm and hammer i recommend.
