Cat litter?
Just wondering…. would fine sand work for cat litter. The strays use the sand outside my neighbors house and since it’s finer than litter I was thinking my cats may like sand better. Talking about the kind you buy for a kids sandbox not lake sand.
Ok.. I am not trying to be cheap… I really wanted to know if my cats would like it better and if it would be bad for them.

oh come on. go buy real litter from the store. there is all types of it
odor control, fine, kitten litter, adult litter, non clumping, don’t put sand that is very dangerous and strays are different then domesitcated
It’s bad for their respiratory tract, but if you wanted to play sand is less dusty than most.
It’s still about the same price as a bucket of cat litter though.
I think that cat litter would be better. The other just doesn’t sound right.
I would be careful – if other outside cats used that sand for their litter already – you don’t want to expose your cats to something bad like parasites or diseases
