I have two cats and a 6.35-kg sack of Swheat Scoop would last for about 3 weeks or so. I don't necessarily follow the instruction to put at least 3 inches because I wash the litter box weekly. It also depends on how many cats you have. I have 2 indoor cats and 1kg of litter lasts about a week. If you have one cat then I'd assume 8kg would last you 16 weeks on average maybe a little less if you get a couple rank deposits. The great big bags can be a bit hard to handle. Especially lifting and pouring. I always end up spilling so i just buy a tone of the 1kg bags when they are on special and stock up. Then everynight we will sift the box and add the baking soda cat smelly stuff, lol not sure of the name. And if needed we will sift the cat litter during the day if extra messy. This will usually last us for a month, maybe more. It doesn't smell at all and vet said it wasn't unhealthy to use it that long. So we spend $9 on cat litter a month. Not bad at all.
