I use for my cat Tidy cat crumble free cat litter for mulitple cats and it is scoopable. It works very well.
My fav is the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for multiple cats. I do have 2 cats, but the litter for multiples is better, even if you only have one.
I have one cat and clean it out once a day. I use Arm and Hammer in the orange box. It’s really the only one so far that keeps the smell at bay. I used to buy whatever was on sale, but now I know that old saying "You get what you pay for" applies to kitty litter too! It’s not overly expensive though.
I use Fresh Step Scoopable, with no problems at all, with all my cats. Of course, my cats also prefer a covered litter box, and I keep the filter changed, along with keeping the box sifted and changed out regularly.
We are a multiple cat household (Devon Rexes, finicky babies) and we use Dr. Elsey’s Cat Attract scoopable.
Controls odor well.
Less track.
Less dust.
Found at PetSmart.
What I do is after cleaning it I sprinkle a little bit of arm and hammer stuff and stir it in it seems to help a little bit.
Tidy Cat for multiple cats. What really will help decrease smell is feeding your cat good food you’ll have less smell, less waste. I’d rather spend a little more on food . You’ve heard the say garbage in, garbage out. I like this food:

Should I avoid economy brands of cat food?
As with many consumer products, you basically get what you pay for when it comes to pet food. Economy brands of cat food, while often easy on the pocketbook, are made of the cheapest ingredients available. As such, they are not as beneficial for your cat. Their energy values are lower, their proteins are lower-grade, and they contain higher levels of "filler" ingredients.
This means that much of the food passes right through your cat’s system without being digested and absorbed. Unfortunately, this can lead to a larger quantity of stool (and more to clean out of the litter box).
put some arm and hammer cat deodorizer on the cat litter it will decrease the smell.
Arm and Hammer for multiple cats is the best for me I have 5 cats it works great
FreshStep, definately.
2 cats.. no stink.
I have used Arm & Hammer for Multiple cats and it worked OK, but I’ve found the one that works best for me is Tidy Cats for Small Spaces. It’s not particularly formulated for multiple cats, but it’s quite effective. In particular, it’s formulated to be put in very tight quarters, like a bathroom or storage closet, where odors could really build up quickly. It gives off kind of a "perfumey" smell when my girls use it, which doesn’t really smell bad, and that smell dissipates within a couple of minutes (I’d say 5 mins at the absolute most) of either of them using the litter box. And one of my cats has crystals in her bladder (kind of the equivalent of having a non-stop UTI) so she goes quite frequently and the smell was quite potent, before I found this litter. So Tidy Cats for Small Spaces might be worth a try.
Unfortunately, no litter is going to do its job properly unless your cat(s) does a reasonable job covering up after using the "facilities." If that tends to be an issue, a good option might be the Arm & Hammer powder that you spread along the bottom of the litter box and sprinkle on top to "freshen it up." Its more of a kind of air freshener that doesn’t really trap odors, but disguises them in my opinion, so if you use the powder in conjunction with a "odor-trapping litter" like the ones myself or others have mentioned, that could help as well. Hope this helps! Good luck!
In addition to the other suggestions organic litter from pine, corn cob and newspaper is good.
Perhaps the problem is the location of the litter box. It may be located in your draft patterns. If that is so instead of the odor staying in place, it is wafting through the house because of the draft
I use Special Kitty from Wal Mart and don’t have an odor problem.
What I use for my three cats AND my ferrets is wood stove pellets – they’re AWESOME and SOOOO cheap! I buy a 40lb bag at my local Lowes for only $3.99. They also carry another brand at my grocery store for $4.99. They’re exactly the same product as the commercial pine cat litters like "Feline Pine" – but for about an EIGHTH of the price! They totally absorb the urine and eliminate all odor. When the pellets have all broken down to sawdust (about a week with three cats using two boxes) I dump the boxes and the sawdust dumps out dry – nothing clinging to the sides.
FYI – NOTHING eliminates cat poop odor – you need to scoop that out daily. Also, all the local cat shelters and ferrets shelters around here (WA) use the wood stove pellets – nothing beats them!
