My favourite cat isn’t any particular breed. It’s a cat of any breed or no breed adopted from a shelter as an adult. Or as a tshirt I have says "RESCUED is my favorite breed". If I had to pick a breed, though, it would be the Exotic Shorthair. All the sweetness of the Persian but with a short, super plush coat. I have one I adopted at 4 years old and she feels like a squishyt teddy bear and is SOOOO affectionate!
Don’t really have a favourite dog breed. I like mixes. And not the "designer" backyard breeder ones (which I find completely immoral) just whatever cute, loveable friendly mix you find at a shelter, like my Newf/Lab mix, Jake.
I do hope your Persian came from a reputable breeder that tests for PKD?

Smallest breed is the Singapura (adults weigh about 4-5 lbs). Rexes are 2nd smallest (average 5-6 lbs).
My favs are Ocicats, Cornish Rexes, Oriental SH’s
Favs in dogs are: whippets, pugs, cairn terriers.
idk bout smallest cat breed….but my fave is a ragdoll. i have one.
and my fave dog is a german shepherd, golden retriever, or siberian husky.i love big dogs
