Kittens are cute, and people often establish loving relationships with their pets. This doesn’t mean anything supernatural, however.
As for magic, first look at the lives of these famous occultists, and then decide if it’s worth pursuing:
Henry Cornielius Agrippa von Nettesheim Despite all this occult knowledge, he died in poverty at age 41 in 1532.
Cagliostro did the most embarrassing things, like putting a teacup on his erect penis and telling women "This is the only Bishop you will bow to!" He died in the Bastille in 1795.
John Dee discovered Enochian Magick and tried unsuccessfully to get the spirits to bring him money. He spent the final years of his life stripped of his honors and income and was forced to live incommunicado. He died in extreme poverty at 81.
Paracelsus . Physician, occultist and astrologer. He died broke at the age of 48.
Edward Kelly After failing to strike it rich with Enochian Magick, he was killed trying to escape prison. He had been imprisoned for his old hobby, counterfeiting.
Aleister Crowley had a nervous breakdown in spent 4 months in an insane asylum after trying to conjure a demon in a Paris hotel. In 1947 he died impoverished in a flophouse, forgotten by his family, a drug addict and alcoholic, despite strating out in life as a rich heir to Crowley Ale. He squandered it all on drugs and whores. "Success is your proof " – -Liber Al Vel Legis 3:46, Aleister Crowley
Gurdijef was a Russian con man who got involved in many money making scams. Once he dyed sparrows in peroxide and sold them as canaries! Even his biographers admit he had a "streak of charaltainism" about him. He created a system of bunk psychotherapy which is convoluted and even people who practice it can’t clearly explain what is. In other words, it was the forerunner of Scientology.
Christian Rosenkrutz never actually existed. The whole Rosicrucian thing was started as a joke to make fun of occultists by a Lutheran minister named Valentin Andrea.
The Fox Sisters started the whole spiritist/seance’ movement in 1840. Years later they confessed the whole thing had been a hoax, but no one wanted to listen.
Samuel "Macgregor" Mathers Eventually all the members of te Golden Dawn figured out Mathers lied about the secret chiefs, which led to him being kicked out, & the Golden Dawn being disbanded. He died in poverty from Pnumonia in 1918.
Jack Parsons blew himself up in his basement, making nitroglycerin, which he sold on the black market to supplement his income (apparently his money spells didn’t work, either!).
Pamela Coleman Smith painted the illustrations for Authur Edward Waite’s tarot deck. She died penniless and alone in a London flat.
Paschal Beverly Randolph inspired people like Aleister Crowley, the members of the O.:T.:O.:., and Henri Gamache. His books are still in print. He committed suicide at age 44, leaving his wife and son to live in poverty.
They couldn’t make the occult work, neither can anyone else.
Here’s a quote from Wiccan Tradition Head Silver Ravenwolf:
" For years I couldn’t afford to go to a hair stylist (still can’t, it’s shop and chop for me). I got pretty good at stying my own hair from looking at magazine pictures" [SOURCE: Teen Witch, Llewellyn Publications, 2003 edition, page 145]
She also wrote a book about Prosperity spells. Does she sound like she can make it work? She can’t even afford a hairdresser! My wife just spent $100 at the beauty parlor and we’re far from rich.
Here’s another quote from that same book:
""A lot of people tell me how bad their lives have gotten after casting a spell and tell me they won’t do Witchcraft anymore. I tell them their lives would have been much worse for not having cast the spell".
If you want to really have a good life, ditch the occult.
A familiar is just a pet. Many people have pets.
Yes, you can have a familiar even if you’re not a witch. Your interest in the occult is enough to bring one to you. Take excellent care of your cat and he will help you.
Please spend more time with your family and develop a true personal relationship with Jesus.
You can have a familiar even if you are not "officially" a witch. (My mate claims he had a familiar when he was still an atheist.) You say you’ve always been drawn to the supernatural ; I’d say you probably have some gifts you haven’t explored yet. If you decide, some day in the future, to explore those, then having a familiar can help ground you. Even if you don’t, just be happy you have such a special and loving companion.
I am not a witch and have a familiar who is uncanny. He says meow in a hundred different ways.
According to ancient lore, a spirit from the Otherworld was believed to dwell within the physical body of an animal or creature. The traditional vessels for such spirits were the cat, mouse, ferret, hare, bat, snake, hound, or bird–particularly a raven or an owl. The lore surrounding the Familiar spirit indicates that a Witch received one following initiation into the Witches’ sect.
And just so you know, being a witch is not just a religion. Some people are born witches. You may be. Thats something to consider.
Most people have a special bond with their pet. But to have a familiar you have to practice magic. That’s the whole point, you draw energy from your familiar in order to perform spells. That sounds more evil than it is, a person who has a familiar uses the deep feelings they have for that familiar to supplement the energy that they have committed to their intent.
My 2 cats and I are pretty familiar ( ha ha) but I’m not a witch. (Though one of my relatives thinks I am!)
it is your choice whether to be a witch.
You don’t want to be a witch? Fine, then your cat is a pet.
If you want to be a witch, the cat can be your familiar.
Neither the cat nor anyone or anything else forces you to be a witch.
It could be that your pet is a totem animal for you but that has to do with Shamanism so I doubt your family would like that either.
I guess so familar sounds like it might mean best friend. I have about 5 or 6 cats. Right now theres some kittens around too. Yay!!!!!!!!!!
Yes they can. Energy is everywhere and it doesnt matter what religion ur on. One thing I can help you out in is you cant change faith. Haven’t u ever wonder why do you get really close to witchcraft? I bet you are pleased when you just read a book and do no spells.
And I would do the same thing too if I was Christian and wasn’t comfortable with the teachings.
Well cats are probably the most common "familiar". They are usually the most open and the easiest to make contact with. A familiar is an animal with whom you are strongly connected. They help you in times of need, comfort you in times of distress, and teach you when you are ready. Some people call them totems, familiars, or animal guides.
You don’t have to be a witch to have a familiar. Animals come into our lives all the time to guide us and give us messages. Sometimes we are close to a specific type of animal, while at other time one specific animal is there for us.
I have 2 cats and while one of them is a normal cat the other one is very special. They both are incredible animals I just have a very strong bond with one of them. She will sit on my shoulder while I go about cleaning and stuff. Sometimes she will sleep across my shoulders as I do house work. She lets me know when someone is coming about 5 minutes before my doorbell rings.
I have been almost 100 miles away and gotton a call telling me she got out of the house and no one could get her out from under the porch. (my cats are inside cats) I closed my eyes and thought to her. "Listen, you can do this the hard way or with dignity. You can either walk out from under the porch and into the house, or you can have them catch you, manhandle you and bring you into the house." About a miunte later I got another call telling me that she came out from under the porch with her tail and her head up and primply walked up the stairs and into the house.
I have the strongest link with this cat, however they both respond to my telepathically. If they are in another room I can think for them to come to me and they do.
As far as belonging to a religion. Animals don’t look at religion as a way of attaching themselves to a human. I suggest you pick up the book Animal Speak by Ted Andrews, and read the section under cat. You might be surprised what you find out.
Cats have excellent warning systems, I have a feeling that you will be able to scry quite well, get some reading on it, the wiccan/pagan lifestyle may suit you, read up on it.If you have a natural ability you will have good strong results the first time.
Wiccans believe and respect the three fold law,if you can’t find anyone to help you with teaching collect some information
to help you study, some of the basics are on the net. Blessed Be.
are you a scorpio by any chance? if so, send me an email, I’d like to show you some stuff.
