I wouldn’t, no. Cat litter is dusty, and if they eat a nibble, can do some serious damage to their insides, including blockages if they eat enough and scrapes. I’d use some newspaper, or one of those litter training pads that absorbs the urine. I forget what they’re called… ahha! http://www.petco.com/product/14277/LM-Animal-Farms-Absorbent-Cage-Liners-for-Small-Animals.aspx?CoreCat=RabbitHPBeddingLitter
yup! sometimes rabbits will even prefer litter! and even scented isn’t that bad as long as the litter doesn’t have a lot of dust! dust can hurt there lungs so you may even want to use a misting spray bottle to get rid of some of the dust! GOOD LUCK!
I always used wood shavings when I had a rabbit. Iv never heard of using cat litter though.
Unscented litter is OK, so long as it’s not a clumping formula. The only concern is that these litters tend to be dusty, which is not good for Bunnies.
Most stores, pet and grocery, sell Yesterdays News cat litter, which is perfect litter for Bunnies. Otherwise, you can just use a layer of aspen shavings or a paper based bedding product like CareFresh.
You can use uncented clay non clumping cat litter. Shreded news paper..but can stain their feet. Do not use pine or cedar shavings as they are toxic to rabbits.
don’t use cat litter or corn cob fo a rabbtit or guinea pig–it can go into their anal opening or vaginal opening-not worth risking an infection-
