The raccoon. Raccoons can even kill small dogs. A full-grown raccoon is the size of a cocker spaniel, and heavier.
Fortunately they will usually retreat unless cornered.
They carry canine distemper and several other diseases that can affect housepets, and can carry rabies. They aren’t cute.
Of course they can kill a cat because they are so much larger than a house cat. However the raccoons around here are friendly and they eat out of the same dish as the outside cats. I can even get one of them to eat out of my hand.
definitely a racoon (unless the cat turns on a bright light)
