There are no pedigree breeds of cat specific to Finland. Sorry to say there is NOT a breed of cat called the Finish Rex! Just a Finnish Rex Cat Club for Finnish cat breeders with Cornish Rex and Devon Rex cats! However, the pedigree European Shorthair was developed using a lot of Scandinavian cats so this is the nearest thing there is.
I couldn’t find anything online about a Finnish short-hair cat, but there are plenty of short-hair tabby cats that are wonderful.
There is a breed called the Finnish Rex. It’s closely related to the Devon and Cornish Rex without the short, curly coat. You can see an example at http://www.kissaliitto.fi/etusivu.php.
Hope that helps.
Fordicus – Reference http://www.surex.fi/ that delineates Cornish and Devon Rex from Finnish Rex.
