I got this cat (9 years old) a few weeks ago (3weeks ago) and she’d been at the shelter for a month atleast – she seemed scared of me at the beginning & used to dive under the bed anytime I came near. A few days ago, she started coming to the doorway of the room I spend most of my time in. She sits outside the door and meows at me now. She meows back when I say something so I think she may be talking to me. She also lets me scratch her sometimes. Why does she do this?

My cat goes in the litter box to use the bathroom, but most of the time he just sits in there and rolls around. How can I stop this?

I’ll be moving to a new house soon and I want to take my cat, who I’ve had for just over 3 years now, with me.

I really need some advice on how to go about this – both on the day of the move, and the time after it.

And how long does it generally take for a cat to get used to a new house?

I actually had another cat of six years before her but he ran away when I moved – so I was devastated and I really don’t want something like that to happen again.

They seem to be taking over and putting the cats at danger of being stung or keeping them away from the food.

I have 6 pet cats inside but I am caring for a feral cat colony of 14 cats in my backyard, all of which I have trapped over the last year and had them spayed/neutered; they are wild/unsocialized.

We took in an outside cat and I have a scratch post.She like it but still go on furniture.
I have tried the spray method but it doesn’t work cause she like water ?!?

Just curious. If a person lost their pet (say a cat or dog) and have had it micro-chipped before hand in hopes of getting the pet back if it ever got lost, but the pet was hit by a car….would the pet owner ever find out that their animal is gone forever?
