My cat is about 8 months old and has never really touched the shower curtain before. Now, all of a sudden he has decided his new fav thing is to climb up the curtain, rip it all to pieces, and knock the shower rod down. How can I get him to stop? I really don’t want to keep the bathroom door shut all the time…the kitty box is in there and i don’t want to move it into my living room.

can I get some advise on how to care for my bird?

My roommate and I have a yellow male South American cockatiel. I’ve always been a pet lover, but most of my experience comes from cats and dogs. I want to see if this bird is being cared for correctly, so I’ll give a basic rundown on its living conditions.
During the summer, Chito (his name) is kept outdoors in a large cage with plenty of perches and other hanging amusements. The cage is surrounded by trees and plants, is always in the shade, is near dozens of wild birds for compansionship, and the top is covered for protection from the rain. The cage is cleaned regularly, and Chito always has fresh food and water. However, my roommate insists that he not be let out of the cage inside the house. Further, he currently has no companion (his female companion was killed last summer when the neighborhood cat knocked the caged over). Even though its’s treated well and cared for, it NEVER leaves the cage. Lastly, Chito doesn’t seem to have much of a personality and is quite timid. When I tried to slowly and gently touch him, he went crazy. He just sits in his cage without making much noise. I’ve read that male cockatiels are very boastful and like to show-off. This guy, while looking very healthy, just sits and stares.
Any suggestions on improving his disposition? Should he be let out more? Something about him doesn’t strike me as quite right.

Thanks

How to remove matts from cat fur?

I groom my cat twice a day with a slicker wire brush, but despite that, she still gets matts on her neck. Really tiny ones right at the roots, at the skin, some of them even smaller than 1 wire of the slicker brush.

My cat also loves water, she’s prone to getting wet whenever there is an opportunity. I suspect that’s why she keep getting these knots too.

How can I remove them? It’s too close to the skin to cut off, the slicker brush is too thick. Some suggested using needle, but it is sooo dangerous, are there other ways?

one night me and my cat were laying down in my bed when all of a sudden my cat starts meowing at the wall…i thought i saw something but nothing was there when i looked back again. then all of a sudden my cat arches his back and hissed at the wall and ran and hid for hours. does that mean my house is haunted? does it mean my cat can see things? or does that mean my cat is crazy?

Can I get some suggestions on Cat's FAVORITE TOYS?

I want to get some new toys but I hate to invest a lot and for them to hate. I am hoping a lot of people will agree on different things then I can get that like everyone else. Their favorite right now is the DA BIRD.

My siamese cat is around 9, he had a twin brother that died about 2 years ago. We feel like he’s lonely and want to get another cat, but were not sure if he will be jealous, or go crazy?? Help please!

I adopted a cat from a shelter a while ago. She wasn’t very social and absolutely hated the dog, but I hoped her shyness would keep her indoors. Unfortunately it didn’t and she went out the doggy door and never came back. I’d like to try again, but I’m afraid the same thing will happen all over.

Suggestons? (Sincere, please)
