It used to be he’d run out once in a blue moon and now that he’s been fixed he’s shooting out everytime and trying to pry the door open with his nose or paws. He’s about 6 months old.
It’s very hard for me to decide because he was an abandoned 2 day old that I hand raised.
Will he know how to get home if it runs off?

I was outside playing with my sisters and I saw my cat walk past with a bird in his mouth! I freaked out and shook the cat till he dropped the bird (cat’s fine btw).
then I picked up the bird and put it in my old hamster cage. it’s been a few hours and the bird seems fine. her legs arn’t broken because she was perching on a little stick I put in the cage.
and I think her wings are fine because she tried flying a couple of times. but I can tell she is missing feathers on her wings and tail.
I fed her some worms I dug up in my back yard, and she ate them.
will she still be able to fly with out the feathers?

I have an older cat that scratches our furniture so bad he will actually rip it open. I have tried scratching posts and catnip and putting sheets over the furniture but none of it helps. He also scratches it when we are asleep at night or in the bathroom so we can never catch him. I don’t have enough money to get him declawed and we don’t want to get rid of him. Please help, thanks

My kitten will go to his litter box, and when he’s done he always goes to the big cat’s litter box and rips it to shreds. He never does it to his though. Does anyone know why?
He doesn’t pee on the floor. He pees in his litter box, and when he gets out he goes to the other cat’s litter box and rips it all up and throws the dirt everywhere.

I don’t want to, but I love cats. Dogs are dirty, barking and mindless retchs.
They can’t even be trained to crap outside and will drop a toot where ever they please.
I might say I like most animals. But not dogs or horses.
Does anyone else feel the same way. I wish I did like them. but I don’t.

I have a large, active male cat with a strong prey drive. He loves the classic feathers attached to a stick toy, but he plays very rough, and after one play session our new toy is in tattered feathers strewn around the room. He has very strong jaws and is very fast- if he gets it in his mouth, it’s all over. His grip is like steel, and I can’t break it. Since I doubt I’ll be developing superhuman speed or strength any time soon, where can I find more durable cat toys?
I already own several handmade toys, but am at a loss as to how to make a stronger feather stick. He doesn’t play with catnip pockets or things like that, so the feather stick is a must.

I have a 7 month old cat, and last night, out of the blue, he climbs on my bed, lays next to me, then stood up and urinated. He is neutered, so he wasn’t spraying. I don’t understand what is going on or what to do…
My cat is not abused or neglected in any way. Obviously if I treated my cat badly I wouldn’t care enough to ask another’s opinion as to what could be wrong with him. He only did it once, and it was not just a little bit… I believe he was mad at me because he wanted attention and I was going to bed. He was not in pain, but if he does it again I will take him to the vet. I appreciate most of your responses and thanks for sharing your experiences.
