My sister wants to get a new kitten, but we are having a hard time finding the right breed. She wants a cat that stays small, even when fully grown. It cant be too expensive, it can only be as high as around 50 dollars, and I myself say that it should be either one of these colors (because I like cats these colors) : Orange (like tiger orange), gray (smokey gray or light gray), black, silver, white, or a mix of browns and white. Although, if its cute anyway in the color it has, thats cool too :]. Any breed ideas?? (i think the colors are in any breed though so colors dont really matter with the breed :])
i also love cats with blue eyes :]
by the way, if you know, what breed are these cats? (im not sure if html will work *crosses fingers*)

This is my cats first christmas with us and he is not the most well behaved. He jumps and attacks everything! I wrapped the presents and he opened them all! I haven’t put my tree up yet since I already know what is going to happen. (Attacking the shiny balls and climbing the tree) Is there any thing I can put on or around the tree to keep him from going after it??
Keep in mind me and my roommate work during the days and won’t be there to spray him everytime he gets near it.

I dont want the cat I have,so could I secretly take it to like a petsmart in his carrier and and just leave him in the cat room?
I got this cat off CL and he is not what they claimed he was,perferctly healthy,she did say he was weary at first but its been 3 months now,no real changes,he poops on the floor and pukes all over the house and that is not what i was looking for.

My brother had his big orange cat for 9 years as the only pet in the house. His one-year-old son had some issues and, long story short, I took the cat. He is now living with my 15 year old female, 9 yr male, and 3 yr female. Mine are much smaller than him. He attacks them regularly, and has my little one so afraid that she won’t come downstairs. Is there anything I can do to help them work things out? I can’t give him up – he has a medical condition that would make it difficult at best for him to get adopted. My 15 yr old doesn’t care too much. My boy is getting beat up, and the new guy is strutting around like he owns the place. Any ideas???
My 15 yr old cat is OK with him. My 3 yr old female cat is terrified, and my 9 yr old male cat is getting attacked. Should I let the little one stay upstairs until she’s ready to come down?

I asked, "How’s it going?" to a cat,

As he sat, like a poor mans lion,

like a swap meet Sphinx on a hot car,

Not hot sand like the real one.

I asked the cat the question

to see if he could speak.

You cant rule out everything

Until you ask and have an answer,

Or in this case, no answer.

It would be unique,

If I met a cat who could speak.

But he just sat iconic, in his heroic pose.

Perched; a mobile gargoyle protecting his green lawn.

On his fiberglass throne; an automobile.

This cat didn’t say a thing, he must have thought

he was "All That"

He looked at me,

The popcorn-yellow, summer sun and wind-shaking green leaves,

Bouncing in his nocturnal, predator eyes.

He was as cool as the underside of a pillow.

Looking at me with cocky ignorance.

Conceit sparkling in his eyes like gas bubbles in a glass cup filled with Sprite.

Looking me down, as if he knew the word fool,

And applying it to me, at that instant.

So I, had my answer, of how he was doing,

And idled away, realizing

We are all cool cats, if we get asked, "How’s it going?"

I understand she’s a hunter but is there a trick to keep her from chomping on chipmunks in say the garden and not at the front door? I wake up to a kill zone.

I just got a very nice gift from my mom in the mail for my three cats, a big stocking filled with 20+ Christmas theme toys. Seemed like a year’s worth of fun for my kitties, but on further inspection about 2/3 of the toys are in my opinion completely unsafe for cats. Some are made with pipe cleaners with sharp ends, or are so poorly put together I worry about them eating googley eyes or other bits they could chew off and swallow. One had tinsel that came off when I opened the bag! I know how much it cost to have surgery done on cats how eat things that get stuck in their insides! So my mom’s nice gift seems like a complete rip off for the money she spent (she left the price tag on, so I know it wasn’t cheep either).
I also have a dog, and find the toys for them much better safety and quality wise then cat toys are generally. Has anyone had a cat injured from a toy made for cats that was unsafe? Does this bother you as much as it bothers me, that so many toys in the stores meant for cats are so unsafe? Why are stores selling such unsafe items? Are you upset that manufactures don’t care about our pets at all when designing these poor quality toys? Seems that more are unsafe in the stores then not.
