How do I stop feeding feral cats?

I started feeding a single feral about 2 years ago. Since then she has had several litters and their little community has grown exponentially. It has become too much of a commitment and too expensive to keep up with the feedings.
How do I gradually stop feeding them?
Also, does anyone know of a specific humane organization that could neuter/spay them so they at least stop procreating?
Thanks!

The pet shop does not have those paper pellet things, they have pine chips, but can;t I use unscented cat litter?
Oh, we have a cat so it would be easier to use it, or can I use newspaper?

Paddy is 3 years old, and every 6 months there seems to be a new issue. 6 months ago, she was wildly aggressive - biting and scratching my legs and feet - and after an NSAID she recovered, back to normal.

My cat caught a mockingbird!!?

This morning, my cat attacked a father mocking bird that was defending his nest. My little sister took him in, because he couldn’t fly, and she put him in our cat’s carrier. When I woke up, I moved him into our cockatoo’s old cage(which is huge) and I put in bedding(care fresh) and I took off the wire thing on the bottom so he could rest on something comfy. I put in wild bird seed from our bird feeder in both the regular food dish, and a bowl at the bottom, and clean water. He has a somewhat deep wound under his wing, that was bleeding a little, not gushing blood like you’d think it would be. He took a bath, and drank some water, he just didn’t eat any bird seed. Just recently, he flew up to a perch, and that’s where he’s sitting now. Well since he can fly, should I release him back into the wild, even with the wound? Can’t he recover in his home, as well as he could recover with me? Will the mother be able to care for babies with out him until he recovers? Is there anything I can do for the wound, like put gauze on in, and some hydrogen peroxide? I’m not sure if I should let him go, or help him heal, and if I do keep him, how do I care for a wild bird, am I doing everything so far right? Right now, he’s in the same room as my cockatoos, they’re all just chirping to eachother. Please help!
I put the birds nest in the tree in my outdoor aviary while the mother was out hunting, and I put the father in the aviary too, he tended to the nest immediately, the mother came back and looked cofused, she heard them chirping and flew straight into the aviary, and I closed the door. They don’t seem to mind it in there, and haven’t tried to get out, it’s really big and their old nesting tree is just outside the aviary. I went to the pet store and bought live crickets and mealworms for them to eat, plus I found some worms under rocks and put them in there too. I’m taking the bird to the vet in a few hours, and if he does end up healing and surviving, I found a wild bird sancuarie that will take him and the family.

Why does my cat lick his scratching post?

One of my cats has developed a strange habbit of licking his scratching post! He gives it a couple of licks and then shakes his head similar to when he’s playing with his catnip mouse but I promise there is no catnip on the post! Anyone seen a cat do this before?

Does my declawed indoor cat need companionship?

I’ve had this cat for about 4 years, she’s always been an indoor cat, always been alone. Since returning to work full time I am concerned she may need a friend. My hubby says getting another cat will "ruin" her and she’ll just be mad about it! She is very spoiled and used to being the only girl.
Any ideas? Is it cruel for her to be alone?
PLEASE, if you do not have an intellegent answer then don’t answer! No offense but people often answer ridiculously! Thanks!

We take a 2 hour trip about once a month, and my cat cries and cries if we leave her alone. So we’ve been forced to take her with us as the neighbors complain. Whenever we do, however, she always poos in her carrier as well as puked this last time? How can we make her comfortable

When will my catnip be ready?

I bought some catnip seeds at the grocery store and placed them in a little pot. They started sprouting about a week or two ago and are about an inch or so high. How do I know when it ready to give to my cat?
